LaTeX: Typesetting of Scientific Papers
LaTeX is the standard software for publication of scientific documents in many fields. This workshop focuses on only the use of LaTeX for writing publications (which includes theses).
There are many software products that can be used to write texts. Many of those that you may already know, however, like LibreOffice or Microsoft Word, pose challenges when used in a scientific context. LaTeX is designed to circumvent these challenges.
