8th Long Night of Sciences in Jena

On Friday you will again be able to experience the Sciences of Jena throughout the night after a three year break.

The  opening ceremonyExternal link will begin at 5 p.m. at the Beutenberg Campus. Visitors will be greeted by Jena's mayor Dr. Thomas Nitzsche with musical accompaniment by Antjes Weltempfänger. Prof. Dr. Peter Zipfel will give the opening speech followed by an experiment presentation to kick-off the Long Night of Sciences.

From 6 p.m. until midnight you will be able to experience numerous presentations, infobooths, talks, exhibitions, displays and experiments introducing Jena's Science and Research Landscape. Participants will range from the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, the Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena, the Beutenberg-Campus Jena e.V., the Uniklinikum Jena as well as many businesses associated with the scientific work.
