Funding for data preparation in the Social, Behavioral, Educational and Economic Sciences

For making data in the field of Social, Behavioral, Educational and Economic Sciences available to the scientific community for secondary use, the KonsortSWDExternal link awards funding. Applications are open to researchers who intend to prepare their collected data for this purpose together with a research data centerExternal link.

• Application deadline: September 30^th, 2023
• Announcement of funding: end of June 2024
• Earliest start of funding: October 1^st, 2024

The RDM project grant supports the preparation and provision of relevant new qualitative and quantitative data corpora that are not yet available to the scientific community. The enrichment of existing data corpora by means of linking to additional data sources can also be funded if this significantly increases the analytical potential of data sources.

Potential aspects of projects:

• Anonymization concepts for existing data
• (transnational) access to sensitive data for secondary use
• high-quality metadata documentation for data publication

KonsortSWD is a consortium of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) which aims to strengthen, expand and deepen the research data infrastructure for studiing society.
