All chemists publish FAIR data

NFDI4Chem is an initiative to build an open and FAIR infrastructure for research data management in chemistry. The NFDI4Chem consortium with the two spokespersons Prof. Dr. Christoph SteinbeckExternal link (Friedrich Schiller University Jena) and  Dr. Oliver KoeplerExternal link (TIB – Leibniz-Information Centre for Science and Technology) is led by the Friedrich Schiller University Jena.

The vision of NFDI4Chem is the digitisation of all key steps in chemical research to support scientists in their efforts to collect, store, process, analyse, disclose and reuse research data. A core element is the promotion of a smart laboratory environment in which all data is collected in electronic form, documented with rich metadata and transferred to a repository. Using open standards aims to advance the implementation of the FAIR principlesExternal link for research data in chemistry.

Further information on NFDI4Chem can also be found on the website of the consortiumExternal link.
